Product Designer & Maker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and creative individual to design and create products for our wedding gift shop. The successful candidate will be responsible creating and producing our customizable products for our bridal clients, as well as, making basic products that are not personalized.

Responsibilities:

Customize our products that meet customers specifications based on their font style and color choices
Design and develop products that are suitable for the wedding industry, including but not limited to basic gift items and personalized gifts
Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to identify popular wedding themes, colors, and trends to inform product design
Create product prototypes and samples to test functionality, aesthetics, and durability
Source and report materials needed for production and ensure timely delivery of products to customers
Work with production team members to ensure that all products are made to high-quality standards and delivered on time
Continuously improve product designs and processes by staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology
Work with customer service to respond to inquiries and provide support to customers as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Experience working with a crafting/cutting machine such as a Cricut or Silhouette, etc. for product design and development
Strong creative and technical skills
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with different clients
Passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality products

Compensation and Scheduling:

This is a part-time, highly flexible in studio or hybrid role that will vary based on our busy seasons and needs. Our team member will begin this role working 100% in studio until they have been properly trained and can efficiently use our systems and equipment. After training our team member will earn the ability to work from home for some projects.

Given the extreme flexibility of this role, our team member will be paid hourly. Rates can be determined in the interview, but the rate will range between $10-$16/hour with promotion opportunities.
