Administrative Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and organized Administrative Assistant to provide support for our marketing and communications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating graphics, sending emails, and scheduling social media content, while also providing general administrative support as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong design skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:​

  • Design and create graphics for email blasts, blog posts, social media and other digital content

  • Schedule and post content on social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest

  • Write and send marketing emails and newsletters to customers and subscribers, using email marketing software

  • Assist with planning and executing marketing campaigns and events, as needed

  • Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, responding to emails, and managing calendars and schedules

  • Organize and maintain marketing and communications files, including graphics, photos, and other assets

  • Collaborate with other teams, including customer service and sales, to ensure a cohesive and effective marketing strategy

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in marketing, graphic design, or related field is preferred

  • Strong graphic design skills with experience using Canva

  • Experience with email marketing software, such as Mailchimp or Flodesk

  • Familiarity with social media management tools, such as Business Suite

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write compelling marketing copy

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a collaborative approach to teamwork

Compensation and Scheduling:

This is a part-time, highly flexible role that can be done on your own hours and remotely as long as the needed tasks get done by the determined deadline. There will be a minimum of one meeting per week to discuss what is needed for the upcoming week and may be a mid-week check in meeting as well. Meetings can be done via Zoom or in-person.

Given the extreme flexibility of this role, our team member will be paid hourly. Rates can be determined in the interview, but the rate will range between $10-$16/hour with promotion opportunities.
